I started this collection by being inspired by owls and as I worked my way through bird guides and photographs I came upon a tiny falcon - the American Kestrel. It was not on my list of paintings to complete, but it started and finished itself in a short time and quickly became one of my collection favourites.
It is this painting that truly embodies the stylistic tendencies of who I was and who I am.
