This is Silence (click to enlarge). This single piece of asparagus, painted on raw chipboard just didn't seem to warrant any words. The black semi-background seemed to create a hush and whisper.

If I had the money I would absolutely buy this for my mom, who has pulled the car over screamingly fast to harvest wild asparagus from ditches in the spring. I'm sure you hear that a lot, "If I had money I would totally spend it on you," and it's not very helpful and doesn't pay the bills, but wow. This really makes me think of my mom and how much she enjoys life. And asparagus.

Love your stuff, especially this piece. Asparagus is so good and i love it on the chipboard! I just read your post on Pinterest and it was incredibly thought provoking. I totally use the site but have really never thought about the implications. I will be checking out linkwithlove!
