Look. Something new!
I have started a collection of pieces called TINY ART. These pieces are
all small. They are created in mixed media on all types of substrates.
They are for sale: $100 for the original OR $30 for laser reproduction
on smooth coated paper.
This is Tiny Art 97. (click to enlarge).
This
piece is another experiment in pushing through the things that stall me out. In these precious days of free painting time - I still seem to come up upon this strange block where I just can't get an even clear channel of where I want to take my free time - in other words, what I want to paint. Today, I decided to take a painting-break and journal a bit of this stumbling to see if I could figure it out. I clearly know that painting is what moves me. I am, like a tall, strong tree - very, very deeply rooted in the art and the expression that makes me feel whole. (I did have a small laugh when creating this piece because the dictionary page that is included here is something I STOLE from someone I KNOW... I found a very, very old dictionary and discreetly tore out two pages that I could just FEEL would become part of a painting - which is SO MUCH MORE THAN BEING AT THE BOTTOM OF SOMEONE'S JUNK CLOSET on the way to the trash. My conscience forgives me.)
