Nobody likes working on the weekend. Especially not me. But, there's stuff to do and it's entirely more enjoyable to be doing errands and odd (but, necessary) jobs when Dan's around.
So, we did. We picked up a LOT of stuff we needed for the show prep. Dan built an incredibly COOL magnet display. It's pretty terrific. I'll get a picture from the show. Me? Oh, I've been working on the program, place cards, show boards, thanks you's and other goodies that will need to be printed.
THANKS for the comments on the new site design. I like it better, too. I'm going to change it up regularily so don't be alarmed if it looks a little different everytime you show up. TRIPLE ARM PUMP and thanks for all the comments!
TRUE TO MY WORD - all commentors that leave comments between now and FRIDAY (March 2, 2007) at 9am will be entered to a draw for a set of the SHOE SHOW greeting cards that I will send out to you THAT DAY. That's before they are available to ANYONE ELSE. YOU WILL BE FIRST. Too cool. So, COMMENTS AHOY. You get as many chances as comments you leave...
Mystery solved! The beautiful new dog bowls I bought keep disappearing. I find them in the living room, under the kitchen table, and even once in the basement! I caught the culprit red handed yesterday. Apparently Crash likes the new bowls, too. Cute.
Show updates: This afternoon while we were out and about Marci Ien called and left a message. WOW! She's from Canada AM and she's definitely a national celebrity so hearing her message on my phone was a little surreal. But, she's in! Too cool. THANK YOU Marci! My plan to have a shoe-themed custom designed daytimer turned into an address book due to costs and timing. Still very cool. I took the day off painting because I just plain old needed to. Cheryl Conley-Strange wrote in about the red boots painting - THANKS Cheryl - I'll get back to you on Monday with the details about buying paintings! The RSVPs are trickling in... so I'm trying my best to remain optimistic. BUT WHAT IF NO ONE COMES? This is the worst part of an event... Waiting. I'm nervous with good reason... For the LoveLife book release - even after a TON of media invites - NO ONE CAME. Not even the Alzheimers Society of Manitoba (the charity receiving a donation from each book sale). It was terrible. Eventually, I got over it but, I was heart broken.
But, the show much go on! We're sitting down to some brainstorming and cuddling. Good. Hurray! Tomorrow - more work for the show...
Go.
