The Cranium tournament was AWESOME. If you are looking for a good time - get about 6 people together and go play Cranium. It was SO fun and the girls team (me, Nicole and Tammy) slaughtered the boys (my Dan, Nicole's Dan and Jared). Go snowman headphones!
We didn't know it when we got up Sunday morning - but, when we were at Rona - we found beautiful cedars and spontaneously bought them up and added them to our yard plans. Our yard HAS NO GRASS. It's a cross between a Japanese Garden and an art gallery - ninja party zone, I call it. Cedars, potted flowers, slate paths, slate patios, hanging pots, wooden decks, outdoor paintings... and I'm working on the beginning stages of a full-on mural. I like it. We are in the middle of a traditional and very old neighborhood where everything looks the same. That's not really my style... so we are pushing the envelope a wee bit. (Starting with our 8 foot tall solid concrete wolf sculpture... but, that's a post for another day!)
I was happy planning the next steps and snapping pictures. Even the dog was loving the Sunday outside in the sunshine playing in the yard. I'm telling ya - this household was at peace in a good place. Too cool. Total LIFE day and that's good.
ALL NEW! My incredible pizza recipe transfers to the BBQ lickadee-split. It is AMAZING. We bought a BBQ pizza grill and are on two night straight BBQ pizza. Yum!
We also managed to spend some time with Mike & Leah on the domino floor. Jamie Munn swung by for coffee. We saw Garth at Superstore. Bonnie & Quinn were out and about while their house was being shown. Ahhhhh, life in spring is good.
Hey! Three people emailed me asking about the Apple books I had printed with our wedding photos. I'm going to post about that tomorrow because I think it might be a KICK ASS way for some of you digital scrappers to put together great pieces. I've ALSO GOT A NEW PENCIL CRAYON PLAYGROUND to throw at you later this week.
Today: I need to water my NEW TREES! I have a little bit of work to do. I'm motoring over to have a catch-up coffee with my friend Judee Regan. Sarah and I are meeting for dinner. Crash and I are getting out for a walk this afternoon and right about now it looks like the sun might peek out today from behind some big, full clouds. It's my goal to take 50% MORE PICTURES this week, too.
One PS. Go here to find a bunch of good-people/scrapbookers carving their own path. I love it when people take things into their own hands - creatively, passionately, and positively. Triple Arm Pump to that.
I'd say this day has the makings for being perfect - or at least pretty smoking good. Creatively. Passionately. Positively. GO!
