For about a million years people have been telling me I should write and illustrate a children's book. Only problem with that is - I hate doing what people tell me to do. Call it
being a DIVA what you will. Seriously, when people are pushing - it sucks the look-at-my-great-idea right out of the project. If you know what I mean...
I was never opposed to the writing, illustrating or designing of a book... I just never really had the right motivation or the vehicle BECAUSE I ALREADY KNOW THAT PUBLISHING YOUR OWN BOOK
IS A CRAP-LOAD OF WORK, MONEY, BLOOD and TEARS really, really fun. Now there are options and alternatives that can make this a little easier and possible in short runs.
The characters need work. The books will be SHORT and FUN and hopefully available to everyone. I'm getting to all that technical and very boring crapola. In due time. All I know for sure is this pair of radically funny featherheads are just what the design doctor ordered for ME and for little people... or at least for me and my crew.
Today: it's still colder than -40... but, we're going to HEAD OUT ANYWAYS. Daredevils that we are - we bundled up and went to the Baby Bin yesterday and found ALL KINDS OF COOL STUFF. LEG WARMERS FOR BABIES? Too cool. Today - is another Kal & Pilot day where I'm not letting too many other things distract me from just hanging.
(PS - thanks for all the "She's so CUTE" comments you left in regards to Pilot. I think so, too. AND it's not like you're gonna leave me a pile of notes saying "what a creepy looking kid you have" because I think you KNOW where I'd punch ya if you did.) Woot. ;)
