First things first - Yay spring and all that jazz. Around these parts - it feels like you wait for ever and ever for spring to arrive and then it does and life goes on and you forget all about winter or waiting for spring. I know it's spring because there are tulips at the grocery store. They aren't blooming around here yet. I'm pro-tulip. At our house, we have irises out the yang. I'm anti-iris. I am. I tried to kill them on 4 separate occasions because they were taking over the yard and they wouldn't bloom. I dug all the way to China to try and get rid of them. I even sent Dan out with a bobcat. No such luck. Bibbity-bobbity they came back - but as a peace offering - they bloomed (at least THEY DID LAST YEAR) big, beautiful dark purple flowers and I declared a cease fire. FOR NOW.
Second thing. I got a BIG TREAT in the mail yesterday. I will preface this by saying that a highlight of teaching at Inspired was getting the opportunity to meet Paolo. I wish there had been time to grab a beer and kick back to talk creativity and concepts. I felt like he was a kindred soul - that I already knew. ANYWAYS. He wrote a book and I wanted to check it out. Lickadee-split plus the power of the internet AND HERE IT IS. Paolo - it's terrific. It's funny - and it's truth in book form. Everybody Woot Paolo! Very cool.
Third thing. I've been working hard and Pilot has been WORKING ME OVER in a big way. Grumpy pants. BUT, I'm still grabbing every available moment to create stuff. I have to because
if I don't I will die it sometimes feels like the only part of me I have left. So - the days have been long and busy with an intricate combination of Pilot's needs and my own. And I do not apologize for this. BUT I DO NEED HELP WITH SOMETHING...
My favourite Prismacolor pencil crayon is called DECO BLUE. I have gone through 7 in my little art lifetime and this wee stub you see is ALL I HAVE LEFT. Prismacolor has discontinued this colour. HERE'S WHERE YOU COME IN: If you have this pencil crayon and you are willing to part with it - I WILL TRADE YOU 2 TINY ART PRINTS for your Deco Blue pencil crayon. It must be from the Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencil line. I WILL TRADE YOU TWO TINY ART PRINTS OF YOUR CHOICE for every Deco Blue pencil you send me. Don't send me Yellow Ochre or Sky Blue and expect jack sh*t. ONLY DECO BLUE WILL DO. Get in touch with me and let's do business. THIS ONLY APPLIES TO DECO BLUE. THIS ONLY APPLIES TO DECO BLUE. THIS ONLY APPLIES TO DECO BLUE. If you have a big full set of Prismacolors (72 or 120) that you bought a year ago or more - YOU HAVE IT. Please trade with me. Please. Two Tiny Art prints are the equivalent of $63 dollars AND THAT's a great return on your $1.50 investment. If you have MORE THAN ONE - I will take them all. (If you're not interested in a Tiny Art print - contact me anyways and we will figure something out.) THANK YOU.
And one other thing: The Custom Tiny Art Ladies... I got A LOT of questions about this and that is awesome. I am still working on the details and that will post tomorrow so watch for that. I thought I'd have it up today - but, LA TEE DA - I don't. Talk to Pilot about that.
Today: Pilot and I are going to fight all day LIKE WE DID YESTERDAY and then she is going to be very, very good when her dad comes home. That's fine. Poor thing has a teething-issue or teenage-angst or something as she is shrieking at me almost constantly now and I am waiting for the neighbours to start knocking on the door. SO. I am very tired today... and because of this I have decided to bypass brewed coffee and just just pour the beans into a bowl with some milk and eat it up like that. Straight. That oughta do it. OH. There will be a smattering of Tiny Art posts over the next 24 hours.
Hello sunshine. Let's get down to business. GO!
