It was was very chaotic around here this week. But it was also the funneling ground for the sorting of a whole bunch of important things. Seems like we've I've been on COAST for a long time and that's really not good for much. So even though it felt like I was treading the same dirty water - I can see now that the stuff going on this week was actually me starting to take control of the loose ends. STARTING WITH MYSELF FOR A CHANGE. I made dentist appointments to start getting my teeth in order. I made some doctors appointments to stop living in denial. I made a hair appointment. I made an appointment with a personal trainer. I made Crash a total-checkup vet appointment. I got my girl tribe got all caught up on vaccines and we had a nice friendly visit with their NEW pediatrician BEFORE IT WAS A TIME OF DISTRESS. I came to terms with the fact that 1.5 full days of childcare per week will do both me AND THE GIRLS a world of goodness. I also started adding a wee bit of vegetation to our backyard. I CLEANED A FEW WINDOWS. I did a couple of paintings. I made some decisions about what I want. AND I even came up with a couple of eat-more-vegetable strategies that should help every one in this household.
It took me until today to see that although I felt completely out of control all week - it was really just the first couple of uncomfortable steps in regaining some focus and direction around here. OPERATIONAL CHAOS instead of just chaos. It feels much better.
The image above is a small piece of Tiny Art 115 and it can be found in the K.Barteski gallery. I have all of the hummingbird sets packed and heading out in the mail this morning. And GOOD NEWS. I ordered another 10 hummingbird prints sets because I accidentally sold a set I didn't have - WHICH IS TOTALLY WHY I SHOULD JUST STICK TO PAINTING. Obviously, COUNTING is not one of my specialties. That means I have 9 8 7 6 5 4 more sets if you'd like one. HUMMINGBIRD TINY ART SET: $60 for the set of 3 Hummingbird Tiny Arts. 118, 119, 120. Good value if you're in to getting good values.
Today: Friday. Yesterday was hard and long. Penn was pretty unscathed by the vaccines, but Pilot was feverish, crying and pretty much out of control for most of the day and night. She's pretty heartbreaking - and I'm sure you will see that one in movies some day. I'm hoping for some nice weather so we can bounce around the neighbourhood and spend some time doing what she does best: play at the park. Dan and I have a Date Night IN and some pizzas and wine to attack when the girls are in bed and the refuelling after a long week STARTS TONIGHT.
