Super ouch actually. A great Tuesday ended with my tooth being yanked out. It was kind of anticlimactic because the pulling of the tooth literally took about 5 minutes. It's all the after junk that's kind of icky/painful. BUT better than it was - so bring on the healing. Also, bring on the three cheers that my teeth are fixed up and happy again. After almost a decade of tooth-unhappiness. I love my new found dentist. Actually - I think I was waiting my whole life to meet a uber hip and cool dentist that doesn't scare the bejeezuz out of me. She's fantastic. I love her.
And my mouth is happy and sore. Well, mostly pretty sore. But healing.
Today: Oh my goodness. WE ARE GOING TO DO NOTHING. I'm too pooped and throbbing. Last night was Night 2 of my sleep training with Penn... I'm tired, but I'm happy to see her improving a little. She's doing great. Anything I can do to help her get better rest is worth doing. She's the sweetest little thing (okay she's not all that little). My face hurts and I'm craving Rice Krispie squares which is definitely not on the list of soft-foods-for-a-week. Nor is coffee. Or alcohol.
Oh my god, this is going to be a long week! GO!

5 mins! Wow.. that was fast. I was much much longer. I like my dentist but he was wrong. I am NOT 'tough enough' to sit in the chair wide awake whilst he attempted to remove my tooth for over an hour. SO happy yours wasnt so long. I found ice helped HEAPS.. )5 mins at a time on the side of my face (external) and .. icecream thickshakes eased it inside..you know I was brave afterall and endured one of more of them every day for a week ;)

I am so sorry you cannot have coffee. I know I get cranky when I don't have mine in the morning. Good luck healing.

Wowsers. So glad that you can now HEAL after ten years! The awful thing about tooth pain (and ear pain, which was my personal cross to bear for many years) is that it's in your *head*... if I have pain elsewhere I can kind of mentally separate it from myself, but not head pain. :( Hang in there and take it easy! :)

Poor baby! I wouldn't be able to function without my coffee! Take care!

Glad to hear you are on the mend! The drill bit and teeth issues seemed like more than any human should have to endure. Way to go!

Hope it heals fast and feels better soon. No coffee, put me in an insane asylum!

Yep, once the tooth is removed, it's all healing, health, good foods eventually, once again! I too fought a bad tooth way too long. I'm still amazed at what I am "allowed" to eat now it's gone! Hope your recovery week(?!?) goes fast!!

Yay, Kal! Girl, you're tough as a boot!
I was a big dork and drank a shake through a straw...and got a dry socket.
24 hours with no complications? Should be smooth sailing from here!

Hey good luck with the healing. Just be kind to yourself (and don't forget to ask for help!!). Just wondering which book helped with the sleep training the most. I'm trying to do sleep training and would love any tips.

No coffee? The torture never ends for you, does it? What about an Ice Capp?

My mouth hurts just thinking of your torture. No coffee...well that just gives me a headache and I can only hope that somehow this week flies by for you.
I keep looking at yesterday's painting of Norman. Absolutely captivating and I just love it. I think it's going to be one of your best. Mac
