Mmmmm. Blueberry season. I love that. Sweet, sweet, sweet. Maybe it's the antioxidants clearing up my brain fog, but I am feeling a little bit jacked after a great week.
Dan and I ventured out on a (much needed) date last night and we stopped at the new Tiber River location event. BEAUTIFUL. These guys are local, handmade, healthy lotions and potions and goodness. They started as my clients (a long, long time ago) and ended up our friends. So great to see them succeeding and I love their grown up makeover. Way to go Tiber River! (This is my discreet counter shot at the party last night!) BEST PART OF THE PARTY: was running into some extra wonderful friends that got me excited about being out and about and that, in turn, got me excited about getting back into the things I love to be into. Total surprise - that's the Universe working for me. Oh, it feels MARVELOUS. And it sort of lit a fire under this slow-moving-butt to get my brain active and my design and painting muscles flexing. Awesome. I'm pumped. Watch for a whole bunch of new things this fall.
We were also at the beach this week hanging with some friends and the waves reminded me of a post Ali did about the ebb and flow of creativity and inspiration. Which only proved to be perfectly true after the week ended on a highly inspired and creative note for me. OH MY GOODNESS IT FEELS GOOD. I have a great feeling about the rest of this year. GREAT FEELING.
(We did not win the money lottery, but this feels pretty good, too!)
Today: We are off to do some errands so that we can enjoy the weekend and the sunshine and the height of summer. We walked with Cadence this morning and she was definitely part of the process of GETTING JACKED UP and we are so thankful. You rock, Cadence and thank you. Homemade pizza and some couch time with my boys tonight. That's Dan, Crash, Norman and my new found loves on Entourage. ;)
Weekend ahoy! Art to post on Monday. Ideas to percolate. GO!

Sweet to get the creative juices flowing! I so know that feeling, when you're just charged up with inspiration. Nice photos today---love that beach one---great perspective! Your blueberry pic makes me want to go photo our bag of bagels I just brought home for a picnic with our daughter during her lunch break today---Off I GO! Happy weekend!!

Blueberries rock! I love this time of year and all of the many goodies I can make with them. My 4 year old and I just went blueberry picking for the first time this year..it was awesome. I think we'll make it a tradition.
It's cool to read that you are an Entourage fan. I really dig that show and started watching a couple years ago by mistake when my husband had it on. Been hooked ever since. ;)
Have a wonderful weekend.

feeling you and feeling this post. I HATE the dry, out of ideas spells, but the best part is knowing it is all coming back to you. Can't wait to see what you are cooking.

One thing that runs through all three of those shots is the color BLUE. I find it to be a recharging, inspiring color.
And, fresh fruit is so recharging to the spirit and body. For so many reasons - I find it makes me feel fresh, and ready to create new, plump, delicious little creations myself, whether they are poems or photos or stories or .. whatever.
