I have had a lot of fun getting to know Maile this weekend. I've also been thoroughly enjoying watching her practice her art + craft of photography. She is a true PHOTOGRAPHER. The way she holds a camera - the way she knows exactly what to tell you to do and what phrase to use and just how to make you totally relax so she can bring out the best in you... VERY COOL. Very much the mark of a master. Watching her work makes me want to do what I do best - paint.

I realized that I have NO IDEA how to coax out beauty like Maile does. I only know how to catch the moments when beauty is so obvious that it can't be missed. See above. ;)
