Hi Monday. My girl tribe, my two dogs, and my healthy sense of adventure are back in the car after a spontaneous hideout at my parents. A week ago we packed up and left our regular life so that we wouldn't be in the way of the real estate agents trying to sell our house. We left in such a rush that I didn't pack camera cables or art supplies (or nearly enough diapers or clean clothes) so blogging has been a little skinny. That's funny to me because the rest of our time here has been big fat fun. Ridiculous fun, actually. Swimming + touring, laughing + bonding and it might sound unbelievable but we had an amazing visit with 20 very special baby white tailed deer. It's hard to describe the honour in witnessing a wild animal slowly approach your baby only to kiss her gently on the nose. Very cool (Thank you for that Dr.W.) We played and napped while visions of kitchen renovations and clever bathroom decor dancing in
our my head (see the nice inspiration photo via Apartment Therapy). Good week. We're probably the luckiest tribe on earth to have a Baba, Grandpa & Uncle Kam that dropped everything to make life fun for us this week. It's definitely been one of those times when what seemed like a glitch in our plan was really one of the best parts of life in the making.
Today: We're racing home as fast as you can go while making pee breaks every hour or so. 10 hours should get us there. I can't wait to see Dan. If the Universe is conspiring in our favour there will be a nice offer on our house by the time the wee ones go to sleep and although those two little pretty faces will never know it - this is one of the best parts of life in the making.
Tim Horton's coffee, please. GO!
