Hi Wednesday. I get a lot of complaints in my INBOX that are much to the effect of "I like your blog, but I want more artful tips on how to use _____________." The best advice I can give you - is to open your box of _________ and use it. That's THE VERY BEST WAY to learn. I think it applies to life as well. Definitely applies to art supplies... there's no right or wrong way to make marks and make art. Yesterday I needed a break from my computer - the island music and the conch shell and the chalk was calling my name. I haven't used chalk in a long, long, long time.
And hey - there's only one way to change that....

Today: the girls and I are going to take a field trip to the art gallery. It's a good a time as any to introduce them to the idea that art takes on many forms. Some are free and some are expensive.
