This video is a response to the last post. I meant to upload it Friday afternoon. BUT I WAS BUSY being a super-sleuth and getting all tangled up in finding EVEN MORE people using my art (one piece in particular) as their own. I was collecting proof. And email addresses. And stumbling upon an incredible amount of internet ick. That graphic was not actually posted 85,000 times. IT WAS A MILLION. I found a few websites SHARING and encouraging people to use it. AND USE IT THEY DID. I found it all over MySpace. Tumblr. Polyvore (which totally gives me the creeps). Pinterest. And even Esty.
That's crazy isn't it?
Thank you for fostering conversation with me and definitely thank you for your support. I'll be making contact with a handful of people today to see what I can do. (More to post later.) There's not a lot I can do about the douchebags who use it BUT IT IS GREAT TO KNOW THERE ARE PEOPLE LOOKING OUT FOR ME. That's one thing I'm going to take from this experience.
Today: standing up for myself, doing pilates, drinking tea + building a ridiculously cool work table. I can sense a great DIY coming on because I'm sure people don't really know how to make a great mug of tea. ;) Sweet! (Happy Memorial Day for those of you honouring those who have served.)
