The grandness of yesterday. I had plenty o'goodness:
- Mat Kearney's delicious new album
- a trio of new sumi brushes
- a new pair of jeans
- a tube of Jet Black gouache
- a venti nonfat, halfsweet vanilla latte
- a potential nanny applicant
- a frenchie in my office
- a summer's breeze
Not bad for a Tuesday. ALL of the things on this list are ingredients for my fall art show. Every. Single. One. And I made up the perfect word to describe it. RANDOMOCITY. If you are a local person - I hope you can make it to the show. If you're not local - that's too bad because it's going to be a grand old time. Fun on the horizon.
Some of the things you see in the random collection of stuff will reappear soon as prints. Some will be sold as originals. Some are spec pieces for the show. Some are working images for class ideas. Some are just for sh!ts + giggles. Some of them are just pretty ideas taking a spin on the wind. Because that's how I roll.
Randomocity.
Today: the ladies and I are off to swim in a pool with other ladies and friends and small people and I have this romantic notion that we will throw our heads back and laugh with our whole bodies. And look like coordinated super models in our swim suits. And no such child will tantrum. And there will be a hibiscus scent in the breeze. And our toenails will be polished and pretty. And there will be a soundtrack of our lives playing softly as we smear on sunscreen and make sure the little ones have hats. It sounds like a heavenly dessert.
And I will lick life's good plate clean.
GO!
