1. POET. (top photo) You're my third baby and you are on the cusp of turning 1. That's big. That means that you have navigated our mine field of craziness for 353 days and you are still alive. You are fairly happy. You are not deaf from our noise. You have not been eaten by dogs or built into a deck. AND NOT ONLY ARE YOU ALIVE - you're thriving. You're walking! You're laughing. You're loving. YOU ARE SO INCREDIBLE. And truth be told - you're my favourite kid-experience (don't tell your sisters). I don't love you more or less than the other two... but I'm changed softened by their awesomeness and every part of that allows me to surrender to you. And your radiating-goodness. YOU-ARE-ADORABLE. I'm a slow learner and I am SO HAPPY we have you that my heart cracks three times over. (The YOU-ARE-AWESOME poster above is my absolute favourite colour combination and the poster that hangs in Poet's bedroom.)
