I'm officially moved out of my downtown gallery space. The experience will never be easy to describe. It was one of those life events that meets you in an unexpected place - somewhere between surprise and challenge. And you jump in with both feet because the alternative is to let an adventure pass you by. I learned a lot. I painted a 25 foot mural. I created a polar bear experience. I met new friends. I had daily dance parties. I took a bunch of risks and put my heart on the line. I stayed true until the very, very end. I shared my polar bears. I let a lot of old shit go and that is hard.
But, what happens in the process is you realize that the only person holding you back: is you.
Big thanks to the Women's Health Clinic for trusting me to bring light + life to their space. There's a quote I saw on the internet that says something to the effect that women aren't supportive of other women. I have experienced the opposite here. Thank you WHC. (This radical space is available for rent!)
Thank you to everyone who came out to see what I was up to. Thanks for the messages. Thanks for the love. Thanks for letting me make you art. Thank you for your kindness. Thanks for the adventure.
